For Sale: 1978 Serro Scotty 14′
From the heart and soul of Pam Martin

This Scotty has traveled far and wide and they always draw a crowd: men, women, children, dogs, cats, young, old, Santa & Mrs. Claus – the list goes on. You will need a large guestbook, because the amount of folks who want to see them is overwhelming. They have appeared on websites & blogs, in magazines, and at many art shows, boutique open houses, and fundraising events. They are easy to pull (you will see them attached to my Blazer in some of the photos) and to set up all by my “big-girlself,” but there always seems to be someone around to help. I have used it for my business; it’s “my tent” so to speak. In all of the pictures below there is an array of artwork. The artwork is not included in the selling price – in fact, most of it was sold at the events, but I do have artwork at the studio if buyers want to purchase. Some of the decorative things do go with the camper, however. It was a working AC/Heat units and is completely electric. It has a built in potty which is so wonderful! She also has new tires. The floors have been tiled with remakes of the vintage asbestos tiles most will remember, but they are completely safe because they have been made it is from a recycled plastic by Armstrong. Cute touches are throughout. For instance, the drapery rods are made from stairway posts and are attached with pink, coiled electrical wire and clipboard clips. She has a microwave and working sink. There is a fridge- but I never used it. I always carry coolers with me and if we cook, it is outside on a grill.

I did include several photos of this “girl” at work so you could see all who visited them, and to see that they love the attention and hold up to all of the visitors. Every year at my open house in Midway called Art in the Yard, they are open to shopping and enjoying and they are decorated with vintage wreaths with the “big” light bulbs. Lots of fun!

Pam also has a 1968 Shasta 1400 for sale. Contact Pam at the cell number above to arrange the adoption.

Crowabout week 62

Crowabout week 62
Heartfelt Greetings from a very FLUID Minnesota!
(That is if total ice can be considered fluid)

I wanted to share the message waiting for me in my mailbox when I got home from work – it’s my own brand of Tina Love from my 89 year old Aunt. I come from a family of very direct women so this was not a surprise. However, I am taking the advice to heart and am taking action to fool my mirrors for another year – maybe these tips will help you:
1. cover all of your mirrors with sheer pink fabric
2. remove every other light bulb from it’s socket (or every third if you have too many to begin with)
3. One word : veils
4. stand outside in the freezing rain, face upturned, for 10 minutes – this gives your face a beautiful “smooth as glass” look – a very temporary fix – but quite an impact
5. try this concoction easily mixed in your microwave; orange juice, plaster of Paris, Elmer’s Glue, & juice from one onion -after boiling this down to a paste add three raw eggs and a slice of raw bacon. Wear under makeup
6. of course, you’ve all tried – eye of newt, wing of bat, bone of contention – I like to drink this one just before bed

Please if you have any pointers to share – do so here.
